Found in the Leckwith area of Cardiff, just a stone’s throw from the Cardiff Athletic Stadium and across from the renowned Cardiff City Football Ground, the new Fitzalan High School is the largest development of the Welsh government’s 21st Century Schools project. Boasting an impressive array of sporting facilities it houses a stunning sate-of-the-art 25 x 8.5m level-deck pool with a variable depth from 1 to 2 meters. Designed for both comfort and functionality, it stands as one of the most modern and well-equipped swimming facilities Cardiff schools have to offer.

  • Average maintained temperature between 28-30°c
  • Separate viewing area with ample spectating / waiting space
  • Large changing area with private cubicles and open benches for changing
  • On site and nearby parking

Venue Considerations / Rules :

  • The primary entrance to the pool is located just of Leckwith Rd, directly alongside the Cardiff Athletic stadium. Please follow signs for the Sports Reception.
  • Entrance to the pool during weekday evenings is restricted via an access code. If you are unaware of the code please contact us to request.
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere within the school grounds
  • No photography or recording of any kind is permitted inside the pool hall, spectating or changing areas.
  • Please do not bring glass of any kind into the pool hall or changing areas, and no food is to be consumed whilst on poolside.
