My elder son has been with Sink or Swim for over 1 year now. we signed up 1-1 lessons for him, it obviously costs more but it worths and we never regret. Coaches are amazing and he has made so much progress within a year. Sink or Swim is absolutely fantastic. The whole team are so professional and dedicated, and you can really see their passion shine through in every lesson. The small class sizes make such a difference, and I love that the instructors are actually in the water with the children, giving really hands-on guidance and support. There’s always a lifeguard on site too, which gives great peace of mind. My son absolutely loves his lessons and has grown in both confidence and ability since joining. I couldn’t recommend Sink or Swim enough!

My son really enjoyed the summer ‘starts and turns masterclass’. He progressed very well over the three days and learnt how to dive confidently from a standing position. The small class size meant he was able to get lots of 1-2-1 tuition and his technique and confidence improved quickly. Most importantly, he also had a lot of fun too 🙂

Just wanted to pass on how amazing Rhys was today at Fitzalan swimming.
I booked a 121 session for my son but when I arrived there was a mess up with the system and it shouldn't have allowed me to book the session as it wasn't available.
Rhys quickly re-arranged staff so the session could go ahead and then helped to re-arrange my sessions to another date and time, including getting a free lesson for the inconvenience.
Rhys went above and beyond to make sure my son still had his swim lesson and I am really grateful for him helping.

We've had a really good experience with Rhys, Gloria and team who has taught our Son to swim 🏊‍♂️ He needed some confidence and support after jot swimming through covid and he loves all of his different instructors who have taught him through the waves. The lessons are slightly more expensive, but quality of teaching is great! Let down on occasion when class groups are too big due to staff shortage, and flexibility in moving when it's run during half term but I think this is the case everywhere and shouldn't impede the review. Communication on the group chats is also very good. Special thanks to Richard, Jarred and Ellie.

The classes are small, teachers dedicated and their technique seems to really work in terms of getting little ones to swim... And then swim really well! Two daughters have completed Wave 8 (both aged 10) and are super confident in the water and our littlest is half way through the stages (Wave 4). The atmosphere is very family like and our girls have really enjoyed the balance of play, care and challenge. Highly recommend.

After having my older two children learn to swim with Sink or Swim, I made the decision to start my youngest with council-run lessons instead. A year ago, I decided to make the switch and move her to Sink or Swim and honestly, I’ve been asking myself why I didn’t just start her there in the first place.
The difference in the standard of teaching is truly night and day. At Sink or Swim, the class sizes are small and the instructors are not only highly knowledgeable and experienced, but also incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. They create a positive, supportive environment that really brings out the best in the children.
The progress my daughter has made since joining has been amazing.
No regrets at all—just wish we’d made the switch sooner!

Having tried a number of swim schools for my children, this one is excellent. These are small groups with skillful instructors, often in the water with the children, means that there is never any of that waiting and shivering for the children that is so often part of most swimming lessons. The manager Rhys is very responsive and thoughtful about any worries or requests, which have meant that my children have become confident, strong and happy swimmers. Rhys and his brilliant team of swimming instructors offer excellent standards of swimming tuition which is friendly, consistent and fun. They really go above and beyond to help kids develop a love and confidence in the water. We’ve been particularly impressed with how well they’ve been able to support one of our neurodiverse children. The combination of small class sizes and top up classes during the holidays means you can get enough time in the pool with a well trained instructor to see the progress of your children’s swimming ability. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Sink or Swim is brilliant. We had spent years sending our son to leisure centre lessons - large class sizes and very little progress... He absolutely would not put his head in the water - we tried everything! After a handful lessons in Sink or Swim, with much smaller class sizes, the swim teacher taking the time to listen to my son as to why he didn't want to put his face in, and some firm encouragement he did it! His swimming has vastly improved, he is now completely confident under the water and we haven't looked back since. My daughter is now signed up and enjoys every lesson too.
