Making waves in Cardiff since 2007
Founded by former competitive swimmer Rhys Harrington, Sink or Swim has been making waves in Cardiff since 2007. What began as a one-man mission teaching children across leisure centres, health clubs, and private homes, has grown into one of the city’s longest running, most trusted and loved swim schools.
Driven by a lifelong passion of the water, teaching, and working with children, Sink or Swim was created with one simple goal: to help every child become a confident, capable swimmer in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
Today, that mission is brought to life not just by Rhys, but by our dedicated team of Water Wizards and Aqua Angels. From international competitors to parents-turned-teachers our passionate team of all-round pool pros bring a wealth of expertise, enthusiasm, and heart to every lesson. Whether it’s their first splash or their hundredth lap, we’re there to guide every child with patience, encouragement, and plenty of positivity.
Over the years, we’ve proudly helped thousands of swimmers, from total toe-dippers to record-breaking competitors, grow their confidence, build their skills and fall in love with the water. Many of our past and present instructors were even once SOS students themselves, a true testament to the lasting impact of what we do
